& Crew Quarters
Climate Controlled ~ Sleeps 6 Guests Comfortably
Master Stateroom Ensuite Head ~ Two Guest Staterooms
Professional USCG Licensed Crew
Trumpy is a name revered
throughout the boating world. Captains of industry, heads of state, and
scores of American presidents have entertained, celebrated and negotiated
aboard these magnificent vessels, dubbed the "Rolls-Royce of American
Motor Yachts" by the New York Times.
Little is changed since
the day she launched in Camden, New Jersey over 65 years ago. The 71-foot
yacht is one of only 15 or so Trumpy motor yachts in existence from before
World War II, and certainly is one of the most faithfully maintained
and restored.
The interior of the "saloon" or deck-house
is paneled in richly varnished mahogany and outfitted with German silver
fittings shaped like seashells, which pivot to allow a brass crank to
roll each window up and down. The staterooms retain their
original twin-bunk arrangement and original mahogany furniture that is
so often removed in remodeling projects. It's a throwback to those times
before mega-yachts and fiberglass.
is
presently owned by local Talbot County businessman, Cliff Meredith.
YACHT CAPACITY
The maximum number of guests that may cruise upon the
yacht away from dockage is six. A reasonable number of your guests may
come aboard while the yacht is securely moored in port. Stationary dockside
events may not have more than fifty of your guests aboard at any one
time, but the number of guests sleeping aboard may not exceed six.
