The Patriot is available in the evenings for private charters starting as early as 4:30 pm on weekdays, and 6:00 pm on Sundays. Charter prices include the vessel and appropriate crew for the times and services contracted, embarking and disembarking from the Patriot’s berth in St. Michaels. Up to 149 guests can be accommodated, including caterers.
Amenities include free parking, on-board bar and refreshments, indoor air conditioned spaces, a large, upper outdoor deck, and on-board bathrooms.
Deposit and Agreement
The $1,000 deposit is required in order to hold your private charter date. Please remit by check along with the signed Agreement. Use of credit card is allowed, with a 5% convenience charge for non-present cards, and a 3% charge for present cards.
Setup and Boarding Policy
A list of all personnel requesting early boarding for catering and boat setup must be provided to the Patriot in writing with a time of arrival. Please note that all persons on the vessel will be asked to leave the vessel fifteen (15) minutes before scheduled boarding time for a vessel inspection by the Captain.
Final Payment
The balance of all charges is due thirty (30) calendar days prior to the cruise. Payments must be made in the form of cash or check. Additional services provided while underway are payable at the time of request.
Use of credit card is allowed but a 5% convenience charge for non present cards and 3% for present cards will be charged.
Cancellations
If you cancel more than sixty (60) days prior to your event, any deposit that was made will be refunded only if we are able to rebook the vessel for that particular date, time and duration less a $250 handling fee. If you must cancel less than sixty (60) days prior to your event, there will be no refund. If we fail to begin the cruise for any reason beyond our control, the cruise will be rescheduled or the event will continue dockside. If we are late in starting the cruise due to our actions, the cruise will be extended an equal amount of time. Patriot Cruises cannot be held responsible for extraordinary occurrences beyond our control which may interfere with your scheduled cruise. If we are required to totally cancel your charter prior to boarding or embarking, for any reason which is not your fault, all funds paid will be completely refunded.
Embarking and Disembarking
Boarding will begin 10 minutes before the start time of the cruise. We will return to our dock 15 minutes prior to the end of your cruise and while the event can continue until the end of the cruise time, we request that all guests depart at the end of the cruise time. An additional fee will be charged for pick-up and drop-off at any location other than the home port of the Patriot.
Entertainment
Entertainment is allowed on either deck. Consult the charter manager for options and approval.
Smoking
Smoking is not allowed on board The Patriot.
Outside Caterers
You are welcome to choose your caterer, but a fee of $350 is charged to use a caterer not on the Patriot’s recommended list. All caterers must provide proof of insurance. Self catering is not permitted.
Food and Beverages
No food or beverage is to be brought on board without the permission of the Patriot Office. Under no circumstances are alcoholic beverages allowed to be brought on the vessel at any time due to State Liquor laws.
Gratuity/Cash and Tab Bars
Cash or tab bars are available as options. Open bar pricing is not available. A gratuity will be charged on the greater of 20% of all Tab Bar charges or 10% of the cruise charge.
Alcohol
Anyone under the age of 21 found consuming alcoholic beverages and those contributing to their consumption will be immediately returned to the dock. Bartenders have the authority to withhold alcohol from anyone they feel is exceeding normal consumption.
Illegal Drugs
USCG Zero Tolerance equals termination of charter.
Authority
The Captain has complete authority aboard the vessel at all times.
